What it is

The third album by Sublime, from Long Beach, California, released two months after their singer Bradley Nowell died of a heroin overdose. Punk, ska, reggae, dub and hip-hop collide in songs about addiction, riots and relationships, among them "What I Got", "Santeria" and "Wrong Way".

Why it matters

A huge posthumous success that made Southern California's mix of punk and reggae a mainstream sound. Its hits stayed on rock radio for decades.
